If you are calling to a phone that's a regular landline phone, it doesn't matter if it's in a PCS coverage area. It only matters that you with your wireless handset are in a coverage area. The problem with Radio Shack is that they give their sales people no training on the products they sell, so the quality of the information you get their really varies wildly. By the way, if you want a Qualcomm phone (and of course you do!) you can also order your phone direct from Sprint PCS rather than going to a retail location. ==John
