I don't go to church on Sundays anymore, and try to use the time here rather than sitting through drum and bass guitar sessions that just don't do anything good for me.
The other alternative was the Orthodox Russian church, which here, unfortunately, seems to actually worship Mary.
Allen Keyes? The black Allen Keyes? This brother has more spiritual smarts and intelligence of the worldly realm than I can describe, if we are speaking of the same Allen Keyes. All the more respect for Hal for pulling him in. But, maybe it is another Keyes. He spoke at the Republican convention, and his political speech ended up being one of the most inspired sermons I've heard in many a day.
Branson. That's TBN stuff, their realm, and will probably be on cable programs if you get TBN. Not here, they don't run it and that's just as well for 85% of it, but I sure do miss tapping into that very valuable 15%. Wish the 700 club was on more often too.

I have been wondering when the Lord would bring brother Allen Keyes out of his storage place. This next go round with him should be stellar.
Hope you are saying your prayers, as this is an excellent time in human history to be saying lots of them. I liken it more and more to the inhabitants of Pompeii happily living in 79 a.d., in horrific and sexual aberrations and grossly disgusting excesses which truly rivaled the hints of Sodom and Gomorrah. While Nero, down the road, apparently was indulging in all known human deviancies, and taking breaks from them at lavish banquets where Romans who loved Jesus Christ provided the romantic warm glow of burning corpses on posts. Absolute fact. Read it.
So, there in Pomeii, a place full of such perverted filth on the walls of the homes I cannot discuss it here, they ate their lavish meals beside the beautiful mediterrean, and probably daily discussed the clouds coming out of the top of Vesuvius. Just casually popping grapes and lavish foods in their mouths, dreaming of their next perverted interlude.
With the exception of the scattered pockets of truly decent and just worldly people, and the actually godly who do live among us, a very small crowd on earth at any given moment, this is about what is going on in America today. I'm in one of my severe reality check moments, and usually erase this stuff, but not today. Think I'll just leave it here.
Hope all is otherwise going great for you. My biggest concern in life is that I must go totally wash and detail my poor truck or pay someone else to do it, as it is getting embarrassing. Great dependable beast, my truck. But that appears to be about the only vague problem I can think of right now, so life is going rather smoothly.
I love Jesus! Hope you do too. It's so simple. It all starts out with just establishing a personal relationship, and the rest takes care of itself. But I would say that this is a good time to say prayers, if you know what I mean. |
