I was sent this link by endwrench. It is a competitor with unbelievable prices from what I saw. I thought I would give everyone a chance to check it out and see if there is anything I am missing here. Low prices, no music card required (maybe there is something I am missing here?), same prices for shipping. I can't believe this company can afford to sell new releases for that cheap. Darrel Piercy on the CC was saying that new releases are very low margins (3-8%)and that some CDs cost them $8-9. I would assume that new releases cost $8-9 from what Piercy said. So to see this company selling CDs at $8.97 just doesn't seem to make sense to me. How can they profit at these prices without having a required music card purchase or something like that? The music card in the past allowed CCI to sell CDs for $8.99 and still have a good profit margin. The reason for this is obvious because some people buy the card and only buy one CD and that is what makes the margins high. This doesn't seem to be the case with this shopping.com site. Somebody help me out here. Enlighten me on why CCI is a better deal than shopping.com. I need a second opinion.
