Marconi,

I agree with you 100% about the US having to have a God fearing sense of stewardship and how its more important then capitalism itself. I feel this country has lost its way. Two thirds of Americans have no problem with the Slickster having some 24 year performing oral sex on him while his wife and daughter and 100 other staff members are a few feet away. They don't find it strange that a 52 year old man who is the President is calling this girl at home for phone sex. The Slickster is a criminal (Whitwater, Travelgate, Filegate, Perjury)who has the approval of people who are more concerned about returns on their portfolios than the integrity of the President or the upholding of the Constitution.

It's saddens me to see the office of the President and the constitution treated with such contempt. Our weakened military and moral strength has a price. Countries will see our weakness and take advantage of the situation.

As for Socialism, I posted that particular article because it had some very interesting statistics on the contractions being felt throughout Asia and summarized the crisis. I don't subscribe to socialist or communist ideologies and believe communisim is nothing but Fascism from the Left and Socialism is just a watered down form of Communism whereby the government stiffles free enterprise.

As for Japan, take a look at Indonesia and see what the IMF has helped to create. This after they were assured all would be ok if the stiffling IMF policies were implemented. If I was Japan I would be a little apprehensive in taking their advice or the advice of a $ 300 B debtor. Either way, with or without reforms Japans clock is going to run out the bad debts to big the solutions are to few.
