How does the KYL bill affect one internet gaming provider:

From the World Sports Exchange:

Facts and Fiction Regarding The Kyl Bill

As many of you are aware, US Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ)
has been working to outlaw internet gaming. World Sports
Exchange has opposed the Kyl Bill as unrealistic and
WSE will continue to suggest that regulation, not
prohibition is the proper and legal form of action.

On 7/23/98, the Senate approved the Kyl bill as a
provision to an appropriation (or spending) bill. A
similar bill must now pass the House of Representative.
And due to difference in structure, the Kyl provision will
not be included in the House version. Once the House
passes their version of the appropriation bill, a joint
House/Senate conference would iron out any differences
in the two bills - one of which would be the Kyl
amendment.

FACT: The Kyl bill has not been enacted into
law.

FACT: Internet gaming is in exactly the same
position today as it was last week

FACT: World Sports Exchange will work with
members of Congress to have the Kyl provision
removed from the bill before it is sent to the
President.

FACT: World Sports Exchange is confident the
Congress will understand the danger of passing a
law that even the Department of Justice claims is
"unenforceable"

At World Sports Exchange, we value your business
and will work diligently to safeguard your ability to
use our services.
