Dear Mr. Engel:

I am writing in reference to my conduct during
September 1996, in connection with the Silicon Investor
website. During that time, we both posted messages on
various technical topics. In response to one particular
message posted by you, I responded in an unprofessional,
discourteous and thoughtless way. I wish I had given
more thought to my response prior to making it. I can
only hope now that you accept my sincere apology, and
that those who read this message know that my misconduct
in this instance was inappropriate.

You can be assured that I have learned a valuable
lesson from this incident. Everyone should have the right
to voice their opinions via the inthernet without fear of
repirsal or harassment. I encourage everyone to learn from
my lesson, and to consiously endeavor to insure that the
vast resources of the internet are used constructively.
Mere access to computers and their fast potential should
not be misconstrued as a license to use them without
responsibility or conscience.

I am sorry of my conduct coused you any pain or
inconvenience, and I wish you the best for the future
