I would love to see McGwire or Griffey break the record but I don't think its going to happen this year. Neither, particularly McGwire, is going to get a ball to hit the rest of the year. They were discussing it with Willie Mays on the Braves/Giant game on ESPN last night. As they said no one wants to be an answer to a trivia question.

Side note from that game was that Dennis MArtinez finally got the win and has now passed Juan Marichal for most wins by a Hispanic pitcher. And he did it against Marichal's old team.
