Wayne, you are quoting me out of context!

>dt, this comment you made is amazing...
>BRE-X was like a F*#&ing hurricane that hit stock prices for Cdn. Jrs. last year. Where have you been? Maybe your id should be "ET" instead of "dt".<

Of course, when the Bre-X fiasco hit the exploration industry, all gold exploration stocks took a beating. You've left out the main point in my message:

"Bre-X does not cause exploration companies to drill and come up empty. There's lots of gold left in the world. Whether management knows how to find them, that's another question."

The bottom line for junior exploration companies is that if management stay unsuccessful in discovering significant goal, the stock prices suffer.

In the case of Antares, immediately after the Bre-X "effect" of Mar. 26/97 the stock price jumped back up to the $2.50 level. Now the stock price is 18 cents! So surely you're still not blaming Bre-X for the comatic share price, are you?

You can continue your daily thread watch to do battle against any critical comments, continue to blame the economy, POG, Bre-X, etc., continue to bold-text articles, continue to put a positive spins on all your posts, continue to spit polish management, and in the long run, all your efforts will be zilch if the company does not discover something major before the cash runs out. And the cash seems to be going down fast from $20 million last year to $5 million.

As far as your statement "that you have NO CLUE about exploration companies:" you're dead wrong. Again, you've used my post out of context. That post was a response to this post:

Message 5348395

While I may not know all about reading drilling results, I know a lot more about investing in exploration companies than you think. Let me quote Brian Fagan, who writes, The Fagan Report, a superb newsletter about junior mining companies:

"The exercise is to recognize the early signs of a major discovery and developing area play. Then look for the early and large land owners. Look for the owners of identified hot properties. Look for the strong developers that are entering the play. Buy some stock in a few companies cheap before the crowd arrives!"

Since you own this stock since Feb last year, it appears obvious that the crowd has already come and left, and you're still around, married to the stock, as they say.

As far as why I'm on this thread, I've already stated my reason the first time I posted. I'm on this thread because I find it despicable when a company elects to use legal means to silence a poster when there are other positive ways of resolving the problem. Using defamation suit to silence posters invariably infringes on the freedom of speech, a principle that people around the world have gone to battle and died for.
