I have a zip drive (since Apr 96) with 13 zip disks and a jaz drive (since Oct 96) with 9 jaz disks, use them every day and have never had a problem with either one of them!!!!! One use of my zip drive is I back up my 4+Mb Quicken file on alternating zip disks (one for odd days and one for even days). Another use is I have backups of all my tax files created with TurboTax since 1992. Iomega has officially stated that the vaunted "click of death" affects less than 1 % of all drives sold. I purposely partitioned my hard drive so that all my frequently used software is on a 1 Gb C partition with other downloaded stuff on a 1 Gb D partition. I regularly back up both partitions to jaz disks via Drive Image software from Powerquest. Takes about 55 minutes for each partition because Drive Image creates one contiguous image file that is verified while it is being created....a bit by bit image of the entire partition, including the Windows 95 registry. Last April my hard drive crashed and after installing a new one I restored my C partition in 25 minutes (no verify required for restore). Everything was there exactly like before!!! This saved me about 3 days of re-installing all my software and trying to remember all my personal preferences. I simply couldn't be more satisfied with my Iomega drives!!!! Dave
