Get ready, I climbing my soap box :). First off, I'd like to reiterate that religion has nothing to do with faith in Christ or the Bible. Religion is man's attempts to reach God through what we think are holy acts or rituals. Faith in Christ and belief in the Bible has nothing to do with that.

Bob, I hope your soapbox is not too high,:o) :

(James 1:26-27 ) If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James in just a short couple sentence tells us that religion is "bridling your tongue, visit widows and orphans, and keep oneself unspotted from the world" James has much to say about the ""doing"" part of faith, and although I know it is kind of politically correct if you will, to say "religion" is not what God wants, we need to be careful that we don't become of those who are content to sit back and say, "be warmed and be filled", right?

Of course as Paul says, all done without love is like beating your head on the wall, (paraphrasing) :o)
(1 Cor 13:1 ) Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
