Gang, check out the recent FCC order released on the deployment of advanced telecom services==>FCC 98-188:

* If the ILEC's want to play in the xDSL game, they now have to set up a separate affiliate.*

These affiliates must operate completely independently from the ILEC-->
as in separate officers, directors and employees with separate books,
records and accounts.

Anybody else but me think that PSIX and other CLEC/ISP's now become
quite attractive to the ILEC's of the world?
It seems the fastest way to set up a separate 'affiliate'.
