It has to do with the Hebrew word for chariot-Merkavah which was translated into Aramaic/then Greek/then Latin/then from latin into other languages.
I was making reference to the passage in 2Kings 2:11, and the subsequent four sentences. In fact not only does it form the basis for much messianic speculation but some ignorant theologians used these passages as basis for the Legends of the "Holy Grail". Unfortunately it totally perverts the intent of of the author.
The Holy Scriptures, blessed by the Lord, is often interpreted incorrectly with the intent to convince those weak in the true faith of God away to ones own point of view. Like the artisan who carves a statue of inanimate stone by chiseling away the excess substance, many of your cohorts "Chisel" away the faith of the weak until you are left with a diety that is of "stone" unable to speak, unable to answer, unable to move. You have wrought an idol of stone.
How have you done it? You who speak of GOD and Love in words untried, untested and certainly unexamined have little regard for the meaning of words. How dare you say in regard to our Holy creator those words which I have seen... "God is Love"! Have you examined the intent of those words? Those words with which you accuse our creator of "is Love" are a heresy. The deadly sin lies in the intent of the word "is".
Were I blessed by my creator to be a High Priest in the temple at Jerusalem and you came to me and proclaimed "God is Love!" I would slap your face, grab the first roman that happened by and would ask him to crucify you! Imatio Dei for sure! How dare you accuse my Holy Creator, the God of Abraham, Isaac Jacob and Moses of "IS-NESS"! I think you had better watch what you say in that regard!
