martin, Your math is a little off in terms of your % calculations: New 2370 up 6.1% Refill 2159 up .08% Total 4529 up 3.4% So we are slightly up for the week. IMO it is the New Sript numbers that matter the most. I agree with betty that we need to see the total numbers up above 5,000 before we can say that the trend is really up. At the very least, we seem to have found the bottom in total script numbers in the low 4,000s. We all know that income from the international scene will continue to climb even with the introduction of Viagra into foreign markets. As I have said many times before, Vivus needs to accomplish something on the domestic front since this is where most of the gravy money will be made. For the longer term, I do not see anything terribly negative for Vivus. Since international shipments are strong and growing and unit costs are decreasing, Vivus should be able to turn a profit in Q3 even if domestic numbers do not increase dramatically. Those (like MD) who speak of bankruptcy etc...are way off the course of reality.
