try removing of the cover on the box itself ---
(with it turned OFF, of course .... ggg)
if you don't possess one, go borrow a vacuum cleaner and reverse the flow of air ..... ( make it BLOW instead of SUCK)
and please, no suggestive or ANY comments or retorts from anybody --------
heat retention will cause the problem you're having with a buildup of dust creating a slowdown of heat dispersal , and this will occur not only with the keyboard lockup , but also the mouse .....
