Jim Willie, Its likely that KLIC will retest the lows of l4 once again. A few more negative comments by the likes of Morton Biggs and we will be there sooner than we care to think about.

Right now this sector has two things going for it. Overall positive comments by people who have no more better information than You and I. And historically this sector does well between September and December. As far as I can tell this is one of longest time periods that this sector has stayed depressed.

Southeast Asia has been overplayed. Quite likely most companies have factored out SEA in their growth projections. If they are going to get new business its going to be from somewhere else ( somewhere else being, some where the cash flows more freely) Most likely Europe, Eastern Europe, China or some place we haven't thought about.

A few things these companies have done since last October that impresses me is that they have gone on a lean diet to minimize their cash burn rate and they have significantly invested in R&R to improve their products so that when the recovery comes they will be in a stronger position to compete.

We will know more about this tomorrow when AMAT gives their viewpoint after reporting their earnings. Keep posting I think your viewpoints are very worthwhile and a good balance to my overly optimistic projections........ Jerome
