Let's keep the momentum of the stock by staying way off topic:

I think you hit the nail right on the head. There are so many laws on the book that nobody is capable of knowing them all. And the politicians keep producing more and more of them. There is now way to be in compliance with all of them. The system lends itself to a situation that the laws get selectively enforced, often for political reasons.

The lawyers benefit, because they specialize in parts of the arcane law, and you have to have an army of them to keep you in compliance.

I think the ideal system is what they had in ancient Athens, where the plaintiffs had to state their case, the defendant had to defend himself personally and the jurors were your neighbors.

No lawyers to get in the way. No attorney client privilage, where the lawyer becomes an accomplice in a crime, and works for the criminal in order to help him get away with the crime.
