Divicom on Dow Jones... DiviCom To Supply Equipment For DirecTV LA Broadcast Center 08/10/98 Dow Jones News Service (Copyright (c) 1998, Dow Jones & Company, Inc.) MILPITAS, Calif. (Dow Jones)-- DiviCom Inc. (CUBE) agreed to supply compression equipment for DirecTV Inc.'s Los Angeles broadcast center. As part of the agreement, DiviCom and DirecTV will develop an uplink signal processing system to support the DirecTV programming service. Financial terms weren't disclosed. In a press release Monday, DiviCom said it will supply the MediaNode multiplexer and MPEX Media Toolkit products from the MediView line of program encoders to DirecTV. DirecTV will also use the DiviTrack statistical multiplexing feature of the MediaView MV40 encoder. DiviCom develops products for digital video networking. DirecTV is a unit of Hughes Electronics Corp., a unit of General Motors Corp. (GM). (END) DOW JONES NEWS 08-10-98
