CTC,

I was assuming that CPQ was about 10% higher priced than DELL at the outset. Thus for them to get to 1-15% below DELL in price they would have to take a 20-25% hit. Since they were not profitable at the outset then this would put them about 20% underwater.

I have heard the COGS argument before as you have and never is there any proof offered. DELL's operating expenses are significantl;y less than CPQ's which further adds to the DELL advantage.
