If you're going to be a cynic, and think that everything people do in life is motivated for money, then that's too bad for you.

Recently on the junky Yahoo stock threads someone spammed a message listing a site with his reference number tacked on the end so he'd get some sort of credit for each hit from that link. When you see (nearly) the same post on several threads it raises suspicion. I also receive email all the time that has some customized first line and subject and the rest is spam.
