Post #1 For the geologically challenaged-here's my description of what MDIN has discovered. Picture a cross-section of a volcano. The vent that forms the crater is the "hydrothermal, diatreme breccia pipe"(The Lepangue property)(Breccia is angular rock fragments) The tube was the result of explosives gases come up from a large irregular shaped reservoir that has over time mineralized. This reservoir was formed when magma intruded through existing volcanic rocks. About half way down this side of the volcano cross-section you have the Catan vein and 30 others that have been maped. The source of these veins was hydrothermal liquid coming up from fractues from either the breccia pipe or the big intrusive reservoir undernealth. About 14 miles from the "top" of the volcano or about 600 meters lower down you have the Las Dos Marias property. You have stockworks(lots of veins in a pattern close together) and manto deposits(Replacement deposits that generally occur in flat-laying clusters having lateral dimensions of a hundred to several thousand feet, but are usually less than hundred feet thick.-Same type of deposits that Dayton is mining(These deposits are known to border prophyry-type deposits and have been mined as part of the deposits.) Again the source of these deposits is probably either the breccia pipe or the big intrusive body(reservoir-porphry deposit) This prophry deposits is the "motherlode" if you will.
