I never buy extended warranties for myself. It seems that my problems are rarely covered under warranty. There may be problems if you change the machine in any way (Win98..Multimonitors etc.) I have had manufacturers tell me that if I open the case the warranty is void. I am not recommending this approach as everyone has to make their own risk assessment. Zeuspaul
