Sam,

I only caught bits of it so I can not tell you exactly what he was thinking
but from my understanding he is saying is that in this environment, the long-haul carriers
with the hub and spoke system are going to be able to beat the carriers with point
to point short haul. I don't quite understand his logic behind it but that is what
he was saying in his speech that he gave. I can probably go back and look up where
he was speaking and see if I can track down the transcripts on it.
I think that he was using Delta for the example and that it could beat Southwest
right now. Which it did do in the 3rd Quarter. It set a record profit while Southwest
profits for the quarter dipped. He is trying to lay that over all of the bigger airlines.

I think analysts will be proven wrong on this one and I am willing to put my money on
Southwest to emerge the victor. The stock drifted back down to 22 3/8 and will probably
continue until 21, where it should find some very strong support. I know that I will be
buying some more at that price.

Bryan
