From what I hear Tenke has no "banker" and probably prospects for
obtaining one in this environment are remote. AMZ/Anglo is a very
powerful combination, and we have MER managing this, raising the
necessary capital and negotiating for us. No bear market lasts
forever - especially in commoditiy prices! Copper looked like it
made a good bottom two weeks ago and is now testing it. But it will
turn around. I am trying to look at the situation a little differently - i.e. with my brain rather than my "gut". The political
situation is a shambles. The metals they expect to mine are at lows.
Even the Canadian $ is in freefall. (I, as a US investor, am not
helped by this!) But the most important thing is that we WILL now
get the mining conventions and have everything finalized, even if
this new eruption of hostilities delays things a few weeks. OUR
position has never been better and the stock is at close to a low
for reasons which have nothing to do with the deal! So I am trying
to see it as a great opportunity (wish I did not have so much at
considerably higher prices) and am trying to buy as much as I can.
I think it will not be too far in the future when we look back at
these prices and say "How could I not have scooped it all up then!"
Hang in there.

Jill

P.S. I understand there has been margin selling (forced) out of
Canada. The stock is not marginable in the US - fortunately - as
I would be in trouble then and NOT able to buy more at what I really
think is the right time.
