Some positive news regarding MUSE script numbers: IMO, it is the new scripts that matter most in confirming that Viagra failures are seeking alternative treatment for ED. The IMS numbers for new prescriptions of MUSE for the week ending July 31, 1998 was 2,370. This was the highest new script number seen since 11 weeks ago on May 15, 1998 when the new MUSE script number dropped from 2,588 to 2,373. With negative news regarding the safety of Viagra mounting could this finally be the turning point for Vivus as physicians begin to prescribe MUSE instead of Viagra for their at risk patients?
