Phil,

Take a look at this Apple 5-min, 5-day chart with volume and BB's. , relative to Dell.

bigcharts.com

It shows that Apple has strongly outperformed Dell in the last several days, even as Dell recovers nicely. I feel Dell in many respects is the premier boxmaker stock in the Wintel world right this short-term minute. Apple's strength therefore demonstrates that smart investors are accumulating this stock.

Given the good news today (unbelievable amounts, at least some of which surfaced after today's market close), this relative strength gap is likely to widen this week and perhaps next week.

Consequently, I believe that Apple will fare very well tomorrow and for the rest of the week. The prediction of 39 1/2 offered by the person from CBS Marketwatch could actually be surpassed with tomorrow's close. This of course depends on some support from the greater market in general (iffy??) and boxmakers (perhaps??).

With all the good news coming out now, I think it is less likely that Apple will remain strong early next week (I'd really appreciate some response from anyone to this scenario. TIA). I said yesterday that a blowoff was possible, and I think we are now seeing the foundation build for this event.

IMHO,

Sam
