Hmmm... l've got it! How about you and I make a break from FBN and start our own Y2K company? First we come up with a unique way to solve Y2K and apply for a patent on it. The idea doesn't have to work, mind you, it would just give us instant credibility. Besides, patents take a year and a half to get approved so by the time it got turned down we're already in 2000.
Next we find a shell, say a defunct mining company stock that used to be a cruise ship promoter or something, and turn it into a Y2K concern. Then we go around telling people like Kevin Maney of USA Today that we've solved Y2K in laboratory rats, errr, I mean tests. Then we pay off several employees to give us a few lines of code so we can say with conviction that we're "working" with some Fortune 100 firms. And, for fun, perhaps we can start a side business of selling dog biscuits.
Hey, I think it just might work. You in?
