Whats more bullish selling puts or selling calls? Depends, if they were selling naked puts it could be said they were neutral to bullish but selling covered calls is also neutral to bullish and less risky. Now if it's a deep in the money covered call it could be implied as a neutral to bearish play as the covered call writer could buy it back much cheaper in a decline. In any case a covered call is a good starting point to enter a position if you don't know which direction the market is going.
