I really think the strike is old news. Do you really care how the strike affected July? Don't you care more about what the company will earn in 1999? I do.

As far as a stock buyback, it's a tricky thing. Despite the stock being down, buying back at $13-14 actually does nothing for the earnings. That is because what is gained in earnings per share through a lower share count is lost in interest income due to the loss of the cash that was spent to buy back the shares. I think $12 would entice a move to repurchase shares, but I hope it doesn't get that low. In the meantime, the best you and I can do is buy the stock ourselves at what is a good level.
