EC, you're not crazy. Syquest does have a big problem with their drives. You are not the only one that has seen this problem. I know of one large distributor that has quit selling syquest for just this reason. Here is a few links to past messages that I spoke of an ongoing problem. Of course I must say that my problems were before the big Gig drives but I would never spend a dime on a Gig drive when the smaller ones died so often.
