However, a contemporaneous article at news.com says the following" *"Advanced Micro Devices will release a 450-MHz version of the K6-2 and the first K6-3 chips toward the first part of 1999, and will turn a profit by this year's end, according to CEO Jerry Sanders."* The phrase "toward the first part of 1999" implies December, since clearly January is IN in the first quarter of 1999. Therefore the schedule has not changed. Another contemporaneous article at theregister.co.uk said: *"The source said that towards the end of August, AMD will introduce a 350MHz K6-2 chip, and that will be followed soon after by the K6-2Plus and the K6-3Plus. Those will arrive towards year-end."* Again, the timeframe is "towards year-end,"not "in the first quarter of 1999." Petz
