Internet Media Retains B. Edward Haun & Co. To Assist With Mergers and Acquisitions
BATON ROUGE, La., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Internet Media Corporation (IMCOR) (OTC-Bulletin Board: USRF - news) announced today that it has retained B. Edward Haun & Co. (BEH & Co.), a research and investment banking solutions firm, to assist it in acquiring Internet service providers (ISPs). Specifically, the firm will identify ISP acquisition and merger candidates and perform preliminary negotiations. Internet Media has developed a high-speed, wireless Internet and intranet technology that is completely non-reliant on a hard-wire telephone line or cellular telephone system.
''Our strategy is to purchase quality IMPS in strategic markets and thereby capture an existing customer base and a ready market through which to launch and expand our wireless Internet services,'' said David Loflin, IMCOR's president. He added that BEH & Co. was instrumental in the company's first two ISP acquisitions in Santa Fe, NM and St. George, Utah, and can help IMCR gain a national presence quickly.
James Kaufman of BEH & Co. said, ''We believe the freedom of a wireless Internet will become as popular and habit-altering as cellular telephones have been, and are excited to be involved in the process of creating the first 21st Century ISP.''
BEH & Co. is also helping the company find capital to build wireless Internet and intranet systems in medium-sized cities. These systems will enable constant and mobile access to the Internet from any PC or laptop within the company's transmission area, at speeds ranging from two to 10 times faster than normal dial-up access.
B. Edward Haun & Company has offices in Denver and Los Angeles.
