Chief - No question on this comment For instance if you believe that amateurs open the market and professionals close the market( I believe this philosophy) I am very leery of the open as it often is not an accurate indicator of the day to follow. Even really hot stocks coming out of the gate often have a nice oullback between 9:45 and the top of the hour EST. I am going to direct Kevin hamlin over here as I beleive he is a heavy daytrader - which I am not. I have daytraded about once a week over the past few months and onther once a week on the overnighters.
