I think AMD will end up in somebodies hip pocket. CPQ is a possibility? They obviously need a deep pocket rescue. In fact they need a Jerry extraction and deep pocket rescue. From what I have read
AMD has capable people and all it needs is better direction. This -25% sales policy was certainly the most unsmart policy as in time of shortage they could have gotten 25% more and in times of excess they would have cut prices anyway.
It put a useless lid on AMD and for some reason he also has infallibility(papal kind) and so sticks to it?
As intel has moved their transition forward by 6 months by 2000 AMD will be further behind than they are now?
