Richard,

I'm just glad he took the time to talk with me. I also had concerns (the reason I called him), but I wasn't as concerned as the market appears to be.

Seems like there is a constant stream of events that drive the price of Deswell down, but the company just continues to perform. I didn't post, but my projections for the Q were $16M and $3.2M so they hit the numbers I had pretty well on the money.

They are now at $2.38 fully diluted earnings for the last 4 Q. I felt they could make $2.75 this year if they were over 50 cents for the 1Q, about 15% growth. At 18% earnings growth this Q, they are ahead.

Instead of being pessimistic about Mita, Mr. Lau was actually positive about them going forward. It didn't occur to me that Mita would have separate operations - Mita Japan, Mita HK, Mita Europe. This is probably due to tax considerations as Japan has their 65% corporate tax versus a very low HK/China rate. I've tried and it's very hard to find information about them.

FWIW,
Ron
