Yahoo may be a large stock in regards to market cap but wouldn't exactly be considered a "well established" company. All the internet stocks are highly volatile mostly because they are all vastly over-valued by any historical perspective. IMO your mistake was in buying a stock like this and then holding overnight. I've done many trades with these portal stocks but would never consider holding them over night. Today's gap down is the reason why.
