Say they are only shown to have commercially exploitable assets that have a book value of 5M and an earnings potential of something greater than 0, then 5M/80M + the present value of the realizable earning stream would be a good start. (I use 80M as a straddle between what may or may not happen with the MTEI suit.) (Note the flaw in double counting the value of the land and the future value of the earnings from the land. More than a rough estimate at this point is, well, pointless.)

Now the realizable earnings stream should represent the cash flow net of expenses and taxes and things like cost of capital necessary to exploit the resources. Energy prices can effect this number greatly as well. (But if I were to play this on the basis of energy prices going up, there are many better vehicles available than MTEI.)
