Bad news, bulls. Dow Jones News Service reports that tech stocks sank lower in after-hours trading, including bellwethers Intel and MSFT, exacerbated by Oracle's less than expected earnings. Also, it was reported that the CEO of MUEI said at the Montgomery Technology Conference that the shortage of Pentium Pro chips crimped earnings and sales. MUEI will be reporting quarterly results on Monday, Dec. 16, at 3:00pm Mountain Time.

DBC reported that blue-chip stocks have now come under distribution during four of the past 12 trading sessions, a bearish indication, and one not seen since the last intermediate-term correction of July. Japanese stocks sink to three-month low following the drop in New York.
