That is not quite how it works. Like for stock options, if the strike price is HIGHER than the curret stock price then the number of shares outstanding does not include those shares, but if the share price is HIGHER then those options count. Treasury stock is also counted in the EPS. Any shares that can be traded/sold/bought is included in the EPS. So currently 29 mil float means 2 mil or so shares are part of stock options which are ABOVE the current share price.
