I've been using Kennedy Cabot. Interestingly enough, Kennedy Cabot was recently purchased by Waterhouse. Apparently they haven't adopted Waterhouse policies.

After I left that post I called them back to get clarification from them. I explained to them that this is not a naked put - it is a cash-secured put. They said the only thing they will consider as covering a put is an equivalent short position in the stock. I argued with the guy for a bit and finally got him to talk to someone at their main office in Beverly Hills, but, all to no avail.

I think I need a new broker.
