ICMT Selected by CBS New Media as Preferred Services Provider

WEEHAWKEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 11, 1998--Icon CMT Corp. (NASDAQ: ICMT - news), the Internet solutions provider for businesses and corporations, announced today that CBS New Media has named Icon CMT as a Preferred Services Provider for Internet services.

Under terms of the agreement, CBS New Media will promote, endorse and actively recommend Icon CMT to its affiliates and content partners for the provisioning of communications services, including Web hosting and access; and professional services, including strategic consulting, interactive development, and ongoing management services.

Today's announcement is part of Icon CMT's and CBS New Media's long-term relationship. Icon CMT currently hosts CBS.com (http://www.CBS.com), one of the Web's most popular sites where local and national content from CBS are integrated on one easily accessible screen. First-time visitors to CBS.com are asked to input their zip codes and thereafter will be taken to local, customized versions of CBS.com.

''Icon CMT is an important engine helping to drive CBS.com,'' said Dean Daniels, vice president and general manager, CBS New Media. ''With Icon CMT's help, CBS has deployed a comprehensive Web site to support its viewers, advertisers and affiliates. We're pleased to strengthen our relationship by naming Icon CMT as a preferred services provider so that they can extend their offerings and expertise to our hundreds of affiliates.''

''CBS was one of Icon CMT's first partner companies seven years ago, so it's gratifying to expand our relationship and be named a preferred services provider,'' said Scott Baxter, president and chief executive officer of Icon CMT. ''We look forward to fulfilling the Internet needs of CBS' affiliate and content partners in the coming months and years.''
