Re: CAP vs DMT Keep in mind that ADSL is a local-loop transmission scheme. If your local loop transceiver pair is using DMT, then from a strictly technical standpoint it could(n't) care less what the rest of the world is using. CAP and DMT could coexist for a good long time while the best performance/cost tradeoffs are being sorted out. Some loops could implement CAP while others are using DMT, no problem.
