Yogi, One reason may ne that Compaq made tons of money on Conner in the first go around. Maybe they are willing to bet again? In addition Compaq has a long history of being more proactive with peripheral suppliers (up to and including investments, co-development, etc.) then the other boxmakers except, perhaps, DEC. best, Stitch
