Misc CC Notes:

* 300mm R&D development reduced significantly; although it was noted that they would have the tools for the vendors who wished to move ahead with their 300mm expansion plans

* Gross margin of 44.6% down from prior Q- caused by shift to spares & service business

* Expect capex for 98 to be down 23-30%, down from previous estimates of a 10-15% decline

* DRAM as a % of Revs 36% compared with 42% last year

* Taiwan orders up slightly over prior Q

* Market share improvement in Japan

* Estimated market share of HDP-CVD 55% for 98 versus 42% for 97
