Mr. GJ: RE:< he was increasingly bullish but NO outright buy signal was given in the 11-12/90 newsletters>

When I'm advised at DOW 2448 that the downside market risk is essentially limited to DOW 2350-2450, that substantally higher stock prices are likely into the next year, and that periods of residual weakness that may occur in the short term should be viewed as "buying opportunities"; that message in Brinkereeze tells me to throw it all in on weakness below DOW 2450. We can agree to disagree on this interpretation.

From my viewpoint, it's irrelevant if his model portfolios have 5-15% in cash which was allocated to new US fund choices within 2 months of that advice.

Anyway, we each have a right to interpret Brinker's wording on an individual basis. And that's ancient history as of mid 1998, except that both 1998 and 1990 have in common that they are Off-Presidential Election Years during which, since 1962, major bottoms have been registered....yada yada yada. Guess that's what Brinker is now trying to communicate to those willing to hear his message.
