Deflation or Inflation
Richard you are right. Governments would rather have inflation to some degree instead of deflation. When money vaporizes at the recent pace it's hard to see inflation being a problem. Lets see 25 billion per month put in and one trillion destroyed in two weeks. M2 and especially M3 have been rising well above the Fed target range. Infact over the past two weeks the Fed has actually drained money from the system. First time I have seen that happen in over two years. I think you will be right on Oil as La Nina's are historically good for very cold winters. Currency devaluations continue and will only intensify as the year moves on. People who remain fully invested will be working into their 60's to survive let along go golfing as the mutual fund commercials imply.
