If so, then it is a compound mistake. Projecting a year in advance is a losing proposition, especially if it is done by a CEO.

CEO's and other corporate officers are under no duty to offer 12 month projections. For the reasons stated above, almost none do. In this environment, in this context, silence is golden.


It still puzzles me why he keeps repeating the same mistake.

I doubt very much he was severely understating

The last quarter subscriber growth was 6%, why half a year from now it will drop to 5%? He didn't even give any possible reason for deceleration.

I wonder if tomorrow on the CC anybody will ask him to justify those numbers.
