I'm not a native Californian, so I'm not sure where Brea is. I guess I'll have to bust out that map and check it out.

I really don't agree with the strategy of going after the big brew pub concept. Brew pubs are a dime a dozen now days. The brew pub fad is fading, not gaining popularity. BJs is about 5 years too late to catch that wave. Extremely high overhead, far less family appeal (the place is packed with one or two kid families), and reduction in suitable locations all contribute to my dislike of the brew pub concept.

On the other hand, I love their smaller restaurants placed in prime locations like the Newport and Huntington Beach locations.

Do you know why BJs feels they can make the brew concept work while it seems like so many are closing?
