I don't normally make it a practice to discuss my business goals, plans, or ventures with people on the internet whom I do not know, but in this case, the inquiry is valid, and the readers of this thread, have, in my opinion, a limited right to know what would otherwise be my own personal business.
Yes, I entered into an agreement with Gary to form a corporation to do media consulting. My interest in this company is 25%. But, if you really knew anything at all about me, you would know that PR & Consulting is a field in which I have worked for several years, on a part time basis. I have a moderate size client base of local and regional political campaigns in which I played an active role as PR for hire. In addition, my services have been utilized by various firms in preparing bid presentations on various contracts for public services, utilities, etc. So, that is my background in PR, and any legal background I may have has been acquired through insurance litigation, but I am very comfortable with the attorneys I hire when necessary, and my family keeps more than one attorney on staff at all times.
Dusty, I am pretty conservative when it comes to how I do business, so I can assure you that I carry at all times professional liability for errors and omissions. Since a Consultant does not really handle the funds of another, the type of bonding you spoke of in earlier posts is not really applicable in this case. However, I can promise you that I am not going to enter into anything that exposes me to people such as yourself without fully protecting myself. Regardless of what you want to think, I do not lie, and I would have a definite moral problem with putting out any information on a company that I knew to be untrue.
Now Dusty, I fully understand that when one asks for the public trust, they accept the burden of proof that a business of this nature can be operated with integrity, within the rule of law, and for the benefit of public welfare. I accept this burden, and invite you to the Quality Promotions, Inc. website. If you or anybody else sees anything there that you feel "crosses the line" in any fashion, I want you to call me on it, but I do ask that you approach either myself or Gary direct with your concerns, and not approach it in the form of innuendo. It is perfectly fine with me if you want to call me on it in a public forum, or privately, whichever you prefer.
This is what I can tell you about Quality Promotions, Inc., and the way it will be operated :
1) Quality Promotions, Inc. will at all times make available a full
public disclosure of all names, addresses, and IR Contact, if
any, on ALL publicly traded security with which we are
contracted, and the capacity in which we are contracted.
2) Quality Promotions, Inc. will at all times conduct its operations
under compliance with Federal, State,and local laws, rules,
regulations, and statutes.
3) Quality Promotions, Inc. will never, under any circumstances,
recommend the purchase, sale, or any other action regarding any
security.
4) Quality Promotions, Inc. will never, under any circumstances,
attempt to project or predict the future price, performance, or
structure of any security.
5) Quality Promotions, Inc. will at no time release information or
news to any public wire service or the general public without
having first obtained the written final draft approval and
endorsement of a corporate officer.
6) I cannot tell you that I am not going to post on SI anymore.
However, I will give you my word that if I personally make a post
on any public thread, message board, or bulletin board regarding
any company which has contracted the services of Quality
Promotions, Inc., I will disclose that fact at all times.
I know that you would like to believe that I am some swine of a person, and in all fairness, I have portrayed you in the same way. But, in actuality Dusty, I do not know you, and am not qualified to make that assessment of you, just as you are unqualified to make a similar assesment of me. I look at it like this, I have spent countless hours away from my family doing research on stocks, and that is only a fraction of the time Gary has put into the same thing. We live in the same city, and we were friends before either of us had ever even heard of SI. Gary is no stranger in our household, and my husband is 100% supportive of this venture. We have a common interest in OTC stocks, obviously, and we were able to form a company that can provide a needed service, for a fee. If it is the fee you have a problem with, all I can really say is that I am sorry that I can no longer devote this kind of time for free. I have a family to feed too.
Which brings me to my final point; my family. It is not like this is anyone's business, but since the topic has been brought up on now more than one occassion, I will say this, but only once. I have been happily married for 12 years, and I am extremely protective of my family. My husband is a former plumbing contractor, who due to illness could not continue in that line of work, and sold his company earlier this year. He is also a full time student, and will graduate in June with a degree in Computer Science. He goes to school 4 nights a week, and I spend most evenings with our 7 year old daughter. I see my husband on average 30 minutes a day on school nights, and needless to say, I am not willing to corrupt that time with the internet cesspool. (However, one time I was on an airplane and talking to him on the phone while he answered SI posts for me.)
I take extreme personal offense to your implication and innuendo with comments about "long lunches", etc. You and Joe Copia are off base, wrong, and completely out of line with those comments. I don't know if you guys just get off on making statements that can damage families, or if you really cannot comprehend that a male and a female can be good friends without it being of a nature that is more than platonic. What I do know is that I have a 7 year old child asleep in the next room and if you people don't think I will do whatever I have to do to stop such comments and protect that child, you are sadly mistaken.
