Hi Elmo - The only thing I can come up with is that Goldman Sachs is
listed as one of those "5%" institutional holders. Are they the investment banker for Novel? I believe they are. Here is what is listed under Stocksmart.com (http://www.stocksmart.com/ows-bin/owa/co.g?cid=4173) as of 6/30/96.

GOLDMAN SACHS & CO
ET AL * 149 0.04% 13G 31-DEC-94

They are listed as a 5% holder but only show 4% as of 12/31/94.

Here is the question????

Have they been buying more shares (ie. in November) acting as the
investment banker for Novel and have yet to report their true holdings?

It seems as though this conference is a bit out on the calendar (Goldman Sachs Conference February 11-14, 1997) if they are trying to promote Novell???

Perhaps Goldman Sachs is the investment banker for the Norada
Trust???... The only other idea is this conference is about one month before the next earnings announcement.

In any case I will be listening. Maybe they plan to upgrade Novell <G>.
