Steve - Westell is acting like that Titan Rocket that launched today.
Thought I'd drop a note and say a Titan, our Largest Rocket Blew Up after approx. 25 sec after the launch. I (being lucky) got off work last night at Midnight. Glad I don't have to deal with everything that will go on today. I was up and out near the river watching. No, I never get tired of watching them lift off, usually because I'm inside on a launch console with no hope of going outside to watch the show, except on a Monitor.
I've seen them all from Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Space Shuttle, Atlas, Delta, Titan. Come on down for a Space Shuttle Launch. It's a beautiful site, especially at night.
Everyone safe here, the East Winds winds blew the Toxic Plume out over the Atlantic. At this time (have not had a call from work yet) I'm not sure if it blew up on it's own, or whether Range Safety Blew it up because it started to veer off course. Public Safety comes before all else, They would do the same if it were the Space Shuttle with a crew on aboard, without a moments hesitation. $1.2 Billion Tax Dollars worth of Titan Rocket and Spy Satellite Up In Smoke. A damn good fireworks display though. JW@KSC |
